Semi Final 14/03

Balcatta’s Clarke struggled with his command in the first inning and the result was UWA scoring 11 runs in the first inning though BB, HBP, timely hitting and Balcatta errors. After such a big inning to start the game intensity can drop but Ottey took control on the mound and shut Balcatta down in the first inning to get UWA off to a great start.

UWA continued the pressure hitting the ball hard for the rest of the game but without luck at times. Ottey was dominate on the mound only giving up 2 runs and did a great job keeping one of the better offensive lineups in the league off-balance. The result was a mercy rule win to UWA and sets up a match up against Carine.

Highlights – Ottey 8IP, 6 H, 5 K, 2 BB, 2 ER. Torpy 3 H, 5 RBI. Stillitano’s great defense at 1B
