Memory of Clint Johnson

The UWA Baseball and Softball Club sends its deepest condolences to the Johnson family on the tragic passing of Clint. CJ was an outstanding guy and extremely talented baseball player, who was loved by all at the club. You will be sadly missed CJ.

• Batting Average – 0.342 (10th – players 500PA or more) 0.329 (8th – players 350PA or more)
• Slugging Average – 0.530 (8th – players 500PA or more) 0.479 (8th – players 350PA or more)
• 15 finals games (20th for the club) – including the 1999/2000 B grade pennant (the clubs’ first in 15 years) and the 2000/1 AA1 Pennant (the club’s first since 1984/5), and the 2001/2 AA1 pennant
• Hit 3 Triples in a season 3 times, the only player in club history to do so
• Stole 19 bases on PR1/2 in his last season for the club (8th all time)
• Fielded 1.000 across both seasons AA1 were pennant winners
• Took apart the Yangebup pitching in the 1999/2000 B grade preliminary final (a team we had not beaten on the year) and we rode his bat and Phil Garret’s pitching into the grand final.
